Upgrade
| What: | New versions of SensIt and RiskSim are available. SensIt 1.31 replaces SensIt 1.21, and RiskSim 2.40 replaces RiskSim 2.31. |
| Why: | TreePlan 1.70, SensIt 1.31,
and RiskSim 2.40 are compatibile with Excel 97 through 2007 on Windows
and Macintosh. SensIt 1.21 and RiskSim 2.31 are not compatible with Excel 2007. User Guides for SensIt and RiskSim include information for installing the add-ins with Excel 2007. In addition, SensIt 1.31 includes Percent Swing Squared for Tornado charts, and the SensIt User Guide includes a section on interpretation of Percent Swing Squared. Also, RiskSim 2.40 includes two new random number generator functions: log normal and truncated bivariate normal. |
| Who: | If you purchased
the standard or Pro versions of TreePlan, SensIt, RiskSim, Decision ToolKit,
or WhatIf ToolKit via Digibuy, you can obtain a 50% discount when you upgrade to the
new versions. No matter which standard or Pro product you previously purchased, you may choose to apply this 50% discount to the purchase of any of the new standard versions: TreePlan, SensIt, RiskSim, WhatIf ToolKit, or Decision ToolKit. The 50% discount is available only for the standard or Pro license, not for the already-heavily-discounted Education license or the free 30-day Tryout license. |
| How: | (1) Send an email message to
Mike Middleton with information about your original
standard or
Pro purchase. The best
way to identify your purchase is to specify Digibuy's order number, which has
the format RE1234567. If the order number isn't available, please provide the
approximate date of your purchase, or the email address you provided when you
ordered online, or some other information I can use to search my database to
confirm your purchase. (2) After I verify your original purchase, I will send you an email message containing your discount coupon code which you will use when you purchase the new product. (3) You can purchase any one of the new products by starting at the Buy Now page of this web site. In the "Optional Information" section of the Digibuy page where you specify your email, billing, and shipping addresses, there is an item "If you have any applicable discount coupon, enter it here." Type the discount coupon code to obtain the 50% discount. (4) After your purchase, Digibuy will send you a confirmation email message, and you can download the new software. Double-click the downloaded EXE file to extract the XLA add-in files. (5) Use your file manager to locate the old copies of the XLA add-in files and delete them. Exit Excel, restart Excel, choose Tools | Add-Ins to check or uncheck each old add-in, answer prompts to remove the old add-ins, and exit Excel. Then move the new file to the location of the old copy, and restart Excel. |
